Frontend Web Developer & Designer
After working for 0 years in various industries I have gained an impressive suite of skills across mutliple technologies. I am fluent in HTML and CSS as well as a very talented site designer capable of building a website from the ground up. Whilst I have used frameworks and libraries in the past, I strongly prefer to write all my code by hand.
Currently my focus is on the frontend development of websites, both in my professional career and also as a personal pastime, but I am also well versed in database management and graphic design.
My Experience
See Tickets / Eventim
2018 - present
In my current employment I am primarily responsible for the creation and maintenance of our bespoke white labelling solutions. For our bigger clients, these can become very complex, boasting intricate user journies specific to that client and require a deep understanding of multiple systems.
Many of the projects I was the sole developer of have since been used as demo products for future clients, often leading for me to be requested by name to work on future client deals.
Secondary roles at See Tickets also include:
- frequent manipulation of data at a database level and,
- graphic design work to adapt client assets to a suitable format
Chevin Fleet Solutions
2015 - 2018
I started Chevin as an Apprentice Software Developer, later being employed full time.
My primary role was focussed on designing and building bespoke databases for clients. I was also in charge of the web based front end to this database, however there was little actual coding involved as it was all created by an in house CRM.
Freelance Work / Moose on the Moon
2021 - present
I like to work on projects for myself and some family and friends in my own time, most of which I file under my personal brand 'Moose on the Moon Design'.
Most recently I created a single page website and full brand identity for a building firm close to my hometown.
Toy Planet
2013 - 2015
My first job, a member of the front of house team. No coding involved of course, it's just awesome that I got the opportunity to work somewhere as unique as a toy store for my first job and I like to tell everyone about it!
This job did help to drastically improve my confidence when talking to new people however.
About Myself
I was born in Derby, and have since moved to Nottingham where I am living and happily engaged to my fiancé. I am passionate about my interests and will talk your ear off about music.
In my free time it is not rare to find me watching some live music. I am fast approaching 200 gigs, concerts & festivals which I have travelled far and wide to attend.
I enjoy building Lego, taking on DIY projects around the house and playing video games.
